School Lice Policies

Schools in the Hialeah area retain a no-nit head lice policy. This means a child will not be allowed to return to school until he or she is confirmed to be free of live bugs or eggs or nits.

Schools in the Cupertino and Campbell area do not hold to a strict no-nit policy, and are instead vigilant regarding live bugs; children with active infestations will not be permitted in school.

Schools in Miami Gardens are part of the Miami-Dade school district and adhere to a strict “no-nit” head lice policy.
