School Lice Policies

Schools in Pflugerville and Jollyville do not adhere to strict “no nit” policies regarding head lice. Infested students can be treated at home and return to school without missing valuable class time.

Suffolk Schools do not send children home if nits are found. They may stay in school until the end of the school day and then return home to be treated.

The Maury County School District does not have a no-nit lice policy. As long as students are clear of live bugs they will not be excluded from classes.
