School Lice Policies

Buffalo Grove and Northbrook schools follow the recommendations of the National Association of School Nurses and do not exclude children who exhibit no signs of live lice.

Schools in Bartlett and Millington do not hold to strict “no nit” policies. Students must be treated satisfactorily before returning to school.

Ogden schools allow students with lice to stay until the end of the day. At that point the child will be sent home and will not be readmitted to school until a lice treatment has been done.
