School Lice Policies

Schools in the Islip area do not hold to a strict “no nit” policy with regard to head lice. Instead, children are allowed to return to school once treatment has begun.

Schools in Layton and Kaysville, Utah in the Davis School District do not have a “no nit” school lice policy. Children found with live head lice will not be removed from the classroom and may return to school the following day after treatment.

Schools in Temple do not enforce strict “no nit” policies and only exclude children from school under extreme cases.
