School Lice Policies

Individual schools can set their own policy for how to manage head lice, so it is always a good idea to check with the nurse’s office at your child’s school.

Schools in Albany and Corvallis follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) and do not have a “no nit” school” lice policy.

Both Catalina and Casas Adobes are located in the Amphitheater school district, which requires children to receive treatment for lice before returning to school.
