School Lice Policies

Schools in Dublin and Delaware school districts do not hold to a strict “no nit” head lice policy. Children are allowed to return to school once treatment has begun.

Each school district usually sets the head lice policy for the schools in their area, and yet it is always a good idea to check with your child’s health services department for clear guidelines on how they deal with head lice. The following has been found for schools in the West Chester area.

Burke, Annandale and Springfield are all in the Fairfax County Public School District which allows students to return to school once treatment has been administered.
