School Lice Policies

Schools in Albuquerque do not adhere to strict “no nit” policies with regard to head lice. Students with lice are not restricted from the classroom if they are known to have an active case of head lice.

Schools in Tualatin and Sherwood are in alignment with current evidence based recommendations for managing head lice in schools. Only children with live lice will be excluded.

Brookhaven Schools retain “No Nit” policies and will not allow students with nits (lice eggs) to attend class until all nits and lice are gone.
