School Lice Policies

Schools in the Oklahoma City area have distinct lice policies and it is important for parents to familiarize themselves with their child’s school policy. Oklahoma City schools currently have a “no nit” policy in place.

Generally schools in the Atlanta area are moving away from “no nit” policies.

On July 2011, the Tennessee Department of Health (TDOH) amended its policy with regard to the management of head lice infestations (pediculosis).
