Why Choose LiceDoctors in Everett?

You do not need to be overwhelmed if you discover that one or more of your children have lice. The first thing to remember is that you are not alone. You can call on LiceDoctors, the proven leader in in-home lice treatment. Like so many other families in the Everett area, by calling us at 206-316-8637, you will learn how a professional lice removal technician can come to your home and competently and discreetly check and treat your family and get you quickly back to your normal routine.

Over 20 years ago, Dr. Stephen Beck, a board certified internist, realized that his patients with lice were not able to solve their families’ lice infestations by using the commonly available products. He saw that the lice had developed a resistance to these chemical insecticides. So, researching the life cycles of lice, Dr. Beck developed a chemical-free protocol to treat the patients who experienced chronic lice infestations. Today with 500,000 people successfully treated, LiceDoctors enjoys a 99.6% effectiveness record. That includes a 30 day guarantee!

Here’s what we can do if you reach out to our Call Center in Everett.

First, by speaking with one of our knowledgeable representatives, we will put you at ease and describe our services. We are open from 4 AM to 9 PM to schedule an appointment at your convenience, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. An Everett-area technician will come to your home and methodically remove all visible nits and lice from all members of your family and help get everyone returned to your daily  family routine. And, the treatment is much less costly than you might expect and can be paid for with your FSA or HSA plan as well as some insurance policies.

LiceDoctors Pricing in Everett

Our pricing schedule is based on hourly rates so you pay only for the time your technician is working. There is no minimum per person charge:

  • The first hour is $199 which includes your technician’s travel up to 50 miles each way to your Everett home.
  • After that, we bill in 15 minute increments at a rate of $99 an hour.
  • For a family of four, the technician will typically need 2.5 or 3 hours to treat the entire family
  • The average total cost for most families ( depending on the severity of the case and length and type of hair) is $300 to $400.
  • Factors determining the length of stay are severity of infestation, length of hair, and number of people being treated.

Compared to the cost of a lice clinic, the total cost for LiceDoctors is usually lower than the per head cost they typically charge. And, you cannot forget the inconvenience and extra time necessary to load up the family and sit waiting at a clinic versus being treated in your own home.

Everett FAQs

How can I tell for sure if my children have lice?
In many, if not most cases, parents will observe their children scratching their heads over a period of time. Also, parents often learn about outbreaks in their Everett school or their community organizations. If you suspect that your children have lice, examine their heads outdoors or use a strong light. The actual lice will move quickly away from the light, but you may still see them. It is more likely that you will see the eggs, or nits, on the hair very close to the scalp. If you can comb or pick a few out and place them on a paper towel, you can see if they are light brown with one “pointy” end.
In addition to getting the lice combed out, what do I need to do in my house to keep the lice from spreading.
Lice spread from head to head, and while there is a small chance of getting lice from bed linens or hats, etc., it is not particularly likely. So, at LiceDoctors, we do not stress the need to do a major cleanup in your Everett home. We understand that doing this kind of cleaning can bring peace of mind, and that is totally understandable. We believe the emphasis should be on the actual treatment of the head and continuing to monitor the entire family.
I have read about “super lice”. What does that mean?
You may have read our earlier discussion about Dr. Beck’s development of our original LiceDoctors treatment process. That was in response to the evolution of lice that no longer responded to the commercially available chemical treatments. These resistant lice are called “super lice”, and they are present all over the country including in the Everett areYour step-by-step lice treatment process will interrupt the life cycle of the lice to ensure that the case is solved permanently.

Everett School Lice Policy

In 2010, the Everett School District revised its lice policy; no longer are students excluded from school because of head lice. “EVERETT, Wash. — Everett schools are allowing children with head lice to remain in class while they are being treated. The district says the change in policy is based on thinking that missing class is worse than the risk of spreading the itchy parasites.” Source: The Daily Caller
