Why Choose Us in Western Massachusetts?

The effective treatment of head lice is not for the faint of heart – it requires knowledge, time, and patience. Maybe you need assistance in one or all three of these categories. If so, put your confidence in LiceDoctors and call 413-314-2024. Mobile lice technicians are available for same day appointments in Western Massachusetts. Your lice technician is an expert in lice and effective at removing it.

Avoid the hassle of packing up the family, driving across town, and trying to keep them occupied while you wait at a salon for a lice treatment. When you call LiceDoctors, technicians come to you in your time of need, at a cost that is lower than treatment at the salon.

When your technician arrives at your home, she will start treatment on one family member while the others can keep doing whatever they need to do while waiting their turn. Whether it be homework, chores, watching television, or play, the treatment process is minimally disruptive, if at all, to their everyday activities.

The service is all-natural and guaranteed to work. Your technician has a chemical-free plan that includes applying a lubricant to the hair, thoroughly combing, and then handpicking any remaining nits. She will  go over our physician-developed aftercare plan which guarantees that the lice are gone for good and relieves you of having to do any housework. We have an unequaled track record to back up the efficacy of your treatment: over 500,000 lice-free clients and 99.6% success rate!

You won’t regret calling LiceDoctors in Western Massachusetts – we make lice eradication easy for you! Call from 7 am until midnight any day of the week to speak to a live lice expert.

Western Massachusetts FAQs

HOW DO YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “SUPER LICE” AND ORDINARY HEAD LICE?
There is no visible difference between “super lice” and ordinary head lice. The only way to know for sure is to treat with a pesticide treatment, and if the lice are not killed, then  they are “super lice”.  Of course, we do not recommend that you use chemicals. “Super lice” are common and are in many families in Western Massachusetts.
WILL HEAD LICE DROWN IN THE BATHTUB?
No. Lice can hold their breath for 6 hours so even taking a long bath will not kill head lice by drowning the bugs. Your Western Massachusetts lice technician will get rid of your head lice quickly and expediently.
CAN I GET LICE FROM A WIG?
While a wig may rarely be a temporary carrier of a louse, lice cannot survive on a wig. Lice need the environment and blood only the human head provides in order to survive. See our blog “Can Wigs Get Lice?” https://www.licedoctors.com/blog/can-wigs-get-head-lice.html

Client Testimonials

  • "There are times in life when you need to have someone take care of the problem for you! LiceDoctors is a wonderful example of one of those times ... You can always go see your family doctor, pay a co-payment and $250-$300 on a chemical treatment that probably won't be effective and might even cause damage to you or your head. Just think about putting chemicals on my head that are strong enough to kill hundreds of bugs...I don't think so! Or you can do what turned about to be an easier and safer and effective solution and call the LiceDoctors and have them take care of the problem for you. Janice came to our home, went to work immediately oiling and picking, and a couple of hours later we were done. She was kind and funny and the experience was actually a pleasant one. It has been a month and no more lice!" - Grace Y. in Springfield, Massachusetts

  • "I was 5 months pregnant when the nurse called me to pick up my daughter from kindergarten. I asked the nurse to take a look at my head and sure enough she found that I had lice as well. No way was I going to put chemicals on my head so I asked her for suggestions. She immediately recommended LiceDoctors and I am so grateful. The tech was at my home 30 minutes after we got there and she calmed me, allayed my fears, and went to work. The process is all-natural (pheww) and she said we caught it early on. She pulled out 2 bugs on my son, one from my head, and a handful of nits. It took an hour and a half, she gave us an easy to follow follow-up plan and let me give her a hug of gratitude, which I took as a vote of confidence from her that the plan works! Thank you, LiceDoctors!" - Sheryl L. in Lenox, MA.

  • "LiceDoctors was awesome after our recent bout with head lice. I called them at 10:30 p.m. and to my surprise Tracy answered, and arranged for Elizabeth to be at my home at 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Tracy was professional and courteous on the phone, and immediately put me at ease and made me feel like I was in good hands. Elizabeth is the consummate professional, really knows a lot about head lice, and knew exactly how to get rid of the case. She was gentle, kind, and thorough. Best of all the protocol that she used worked and we have been lice and nit free for 3 weeks now. It was a bargain for what we got!" - Sara J. in Northampton, Massachusetts

  •  "These guys are the real thing. My wife and I had been trying off and on to get rid of head lice in our three kids for over six weeks. Every time we thought we were done we learned we were sadly mistaken. We were over-the-top with frustration by the time our friends told us about LiceDoctors. At first we rejected the idea of paying someone to come in and do the work. The next day when we took a look at our oldest kid's head and saw more lice we said enough of this and called LiceDoctors. Now I am asking myself why didn't we do this earlier and save ourselves a ton of aggravation and wasted money? They had someone at our door at 3 PM and she clearly had an organized way of eliminating this problem. Yes, we had to do a little follow up on our own, which was no big deal especially considering what we had been through, but the point is that we are finally finished with this pain in the neck problem. Big debt of gratitude to the LiceDoctors." - Dan G. in Great Barrington, Ma.
