Lice Treatment Client Testimonials
“My daughter’s preschool recommended this service. I hesitated because of the cost. Yes, it’s expensive. That stopped me at first too. But then I felt my sanity draining away and realized it was a small price to pay in the grand scheme to keep from talking to the trees. Battling these bugs is unbelievably exhausting and time consuming .. I worked really hard at chasing them down My house was never so clean, my kids hair never so tangle free and cared for Then -.! wham the little beasts returned not once but twice I’d had it and knew I needed to get help before I went cuckoo. Karen scheduled everything for me and she was wonderfully professional and reassuring. Within moments I had an appointment for that afternoon for Nicole to come over and save the day. She was lovely. She simply enjoys the challenge of capturing every last foul bug, nit, or shell and is amazingly skilled at it. She was great with my girls and had ample patience for my youngest who had none 🙂 She was so thorough and I felt incredibly reassured that she had gotten everything she possibly could off of every single strand. There are not a lot of things in life in which you can get a guarantee. And even with all of my effort and work I could see that I had nothing close to a guarantee of being done with the little buglets on my own. To know that we are done with these things is the most incredible feeling. We are free indeed! I did not realize how exhausted I was until I sat down and let someone help me with all of this. I counted the money as if it were a spa day! The time lost, frustration, shame (just because who wants to be the lice family?), and gross factor are behind me now and I can enjoy my precious life. Do not try to do it alone especially if you have more than one person in the house infested. It’s just crazy making stuff otherwise. Sometimes you gotta know when to fold ’em and call in the pros. It’s worth it to get the help you need to get back to just loving on your family instead of stressing over these minuscule beasts. Every.single.cent. I would not have minded knowing a touch more about the prep before they arrived such as gathering old towels and dressing the girls in old clothes. This took a bit of time and the clock was ticking when I gathered stuff (you pay by the hour ). But it was not really a big deal.”

“Dear LiceDoctors: I just have to tell you how thrilled I am with your service. My poor daughter had missed a week of school; the nurse is a real stickler. I want to tell you that as soon as you left, I brought Maddie into the nurse and she could not find a single egg. Thank you so very much.”
Sincerely, April G. in San Antonio, Texas
“LiceDoctors was very professional and organized. They were able to get my daughter to sit still while treating when I could not. I was educated about lice and given easy follow up instructions. We have not had lice since.” Rina M. In San Antonio, Texas, Yelp, 5 stars
“I was driving home from Dallas when I noticed a bug crawling on my shoulder. I couldn’t believe it. I was just hanging out with my niece and she must have given me lice. I was told she had gotten rid of it but evidently that wasn’t the case. She has long beautiful hair and who knows what was hiding there. I went online and I found that LiceDoctors was in my area. I made the phone call and they came and worked magic on me. My niece and her family have since used your service as well and now my niece and her beautiful hair are clear. Money well spent!” Luisa R. in Seguin, Texas.
An Interview With Dr. Stephen Beck
Dr. Stephen Beck, a board certified medical doctor, is LiceDoctors’ medical director. We asked Dr. Beck to tell us how and when he realized that chemical treatments were ineffective and that all-natural treatments were the way to go?
Interviewer: Dr. Beck, how did you come to realize that chemical treatments were becoming ineffective in treating head lice?
Dr. Beck–Twenty years ago we had patients coming in to my office with lice and I used to prescribe over-the-counter chemical treatments and then prescription lice treatments but patients were complaining that the treatments were not working. In addition, parents were uncomfortable putting pesticides on their children’s heads. Young children are particularly susceptible to lice and parents are squeamish about putting pesticides on their young children.
Why were the treatments ineffective?
Dr. Beck–Lice were becoming resistant to treatments. The treatments are supposed to affect the nervous system of the lice but the lice were becoming immune. I decided to devote time to finding a lice treatment protocol that would work.
How did you go about doing that?
Dr. Beck–I researched a lot of information from the Harvard School of Public Health regarding the life cycle of the louse and I realized that to eradicate a case of lice it is necessary to attack lice at all stages of the life-cycle.
Can you explain that?
Dr. Beck–It was clear that the eggs had to be taken out by hand because none of the treatments affected the eggs. In addition, since the pesticides did not work, one must take alternative routes to kill the active bugs and suffocation is one effective route.
Why does LiceDoctors have such a strong track record?
LiceDoctors’ technicians are highly experienced and come equipped with the expertise and tools needed to find the bugs and eggs and then to eliminate them. Lice are very elusive and you need to be able to find them in the hair while they try to escape from you. Likewise the nits (eggs) are very small and camouflage in the hair. It takes know-how to effectively eliminate all them. It’s gratifying to help families with safe, all natural treatments.
