Portland Lice Treatment Client Testimonials
“It is with pleasure and relief that I send you this note. After dealing with head lice off and on last year in my son’s preschool class, I knew that there had to be a better way to deal with the problem than the constant notes home from the school alerting us that there was yet another child in the class with lice. This year, I convinced the owner to have you come in to screen the kids on day one. You identified lice in 2 of the children and treated them. Since then, no more cases. Since the children play together so closely,it is clear that those 2 girls would have passed along the lice to others and we would have had a repeat of last year. We look forward to your next school lice check in December and are confident that this will keep lice problems under control.” Samantha R. in Beaverton, Oregon
“In my experience, Lice Doctors’ method was completely effective in getting rid of head lice. Plus, it is all natural.” Ramon A. in West Linn, Oregon, Google Plus, 5 stars
“My kids were exposed to lice a few months ago and since it was our first experience and I knew so little I picked up a box of one of those lice shampoos that are laden with chemicals. Although I was reluctant to smear chemicals all over their heads, I thought I had no choice if we wanted to put an end to the problem. Since you deal with mothers like me all the time who have gone this route, you know how upsetting it is to realize that not only have you used something that may not be safe on your kids, but then to see that it did not work. My friend told me that she had had LiceDoctors come out to her home and treat her kids and that your plan is safe and works. I am writing to let you know that she was right and we are doing great…no more bugs, no more eggs. We are so pleased wight the LiceDoctors service and I have now referred two other friends to you.” Judith C. in Portland, Oregon
“My daughter got lice from her best friend a few months ago. I spent hours a day for 6 days picking and picking. At the end of each day, I would bring her to the school nurse to be screened and she would find more nits and send us home. I literally did not know what to do. It was a horrible experience and my daughter and I were so tired and frustrated that when we weren’t crying, we were fighting. In desperation, I did an Internet search and learned about about LiceDoctors. I can’t say enough about your service and the lovely woman who turned out to be our savior. At the end of her 2 hours at my home, we all hugged each other… that is how happy and relieved we were. The best news I ever heard was the nurse looking in my daughter’s hair and declaring her lice and nit free. I hope we never see another louse again, but if we do, I will be calling LiceDoctors right away.” Lisette M. in Portland, Oregon
To Get Rid of All the Nits, You Have to Get Down to Business
Picking out nits takes time, knowledge, and patience. In order to get rid of a case of lice, one has to be able to recognize nits and then know how to extract them from the hair. Note in the picture to the right how close Karen is to the head of the little girl. There’s a good reason for this; nits, which are lice eggs, are very tiny and they blend into the hair. If you do not have a magnifier and good light, and get close to the head you are bound to miss a few. Once that happens, you’re going to end up back in the beginning of the cycle. The nits that are left in the head will ultimately hatch, nymphs will emerge, and those nymphs will mature to become reproducing adult lice.
LiceDoctors offers many benefits to our clients. One of our key value-added qualities is that we know how to recognize the nits and how to extract them from the hair. It is not a task to be taken casually; one has to be extremely attentive to detail. If you get distracted or the child is not cooperate and you lose your place, you will likely leave some nits behind. It also helps if you can distinguish between nits and dandruff and between nits and DEC plugs so that you know what you are pulling out of the hair.
We are really proficient at finding and removing nits and that is why we are well suited to eradicate your lice infestation. No need to have another lousy day; just pick up the phone and call LiceDoctors in the Portland area at 503-715-1726 anytime of the day or night and we will get a technician to you as soon as you want us.
