LiceDoctors has been helping people all over the country for over 20 years; in fact we have helped more than 500,000 grateful people to get rid of their lice infestation permanently.  It all started 20 years ago when Dr. Stephen Beck saw a need for an all-natural chemical free method for effectively removing lice. He couldn’t find one that he wanted to recommend to his patients so he developed one himself.  His technique is what your trained technician uses and it has a 99.6% success rate! The training your technician has received and the experience she has in the field are among the reasons that we have such a high success rate.

Your technician is ready to come help you 7 days a week, night and day.  If you have been trying to take care of this yourself and are ready to accept help, your technician will work magic and quickly and effectively she will make the lice in your home disappear.  While magicians never reveal their tricks, your technician will go over what she is doing and give you tips and a copyrighted aftercare plan to make sure that these bugs do not show up again.

Torrance and Carson FAQs

Lice have 3 stages of growth. They start out as a ‘nit’ or egg, then the immature stage is called a nymph, and then you have the adult louse. Eggs, or nits, are very small (imagine a knot tied in thread) and are oval shaped. They vary in color and can match the hair that they are glued to. One tell-tale sign that you are looking at a nit is that it will be stuck to the hair near the head. Nymphs look like the adults only much smaller and they take about 9-12 days to go from hatching to adult.  Adults are about the size of a sesame seed and can vary in color depending on the hair color around them.  They range from a dark tan to an almost grey-white. They have 6 legs and the females are larger than the males. Technicians in the Torrance/ Carson area are experts at identifying lice in all their stages.
The life span of lice is roughly 30 days as long as they are on a human head and able to feed on their blood.  If they happen to fall off of their host they will die within a day or two.  The adult female can lay up to 6 eggs a day.
It doesn’t matter if you are in Torrance, Carson, or on the other side of the world, the signs are the same. - A tickling feeling like something moving in the hair. - Itching which is caused by an allergic reaction to the bites of the head louse and can be mild or severe.  - Difficulty sleeping because head lice are most active in the dark. - Sores on the head which is caused by scratching. These sores can sometimes become infected from bacteria found on the person’s skin.

Client Testimonials

  • “With an infant and two toddlers, there was no way that I had the wherewithal to try to get the lice out of their hair. My four-year-old brought it home from preschool and once I realized what we were dealing with, I knew I needed help. The preschool sent out an email advising parents to check their kids and they recommended LiceDoctors. I called and an angel named Beth swooped in and worked magic. The lice are gone and we are back to our normal chaotic lives! Thank you to Beth and LiceDoctors!” Jessie Carson, CA.

  • “Great company and knowledgeable staff. Our technician, Meg, knew exactly what to do. She was pleasant and worked hard.  I’m happy that we chose LiceDoctors.” Adrienne K. in Torrance, California

  • “My sincere thanks to LiceDoctors for coming to our rescue. I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without them. We were in a time sensitive situation and we did not have the expertise to get rid of the lice. Luckily for us they did. They have made fans for life!” Kurt S. in Manhattan Brach, CA.
