THE VACATIONING LICE

What to do when you discover lice while on vacation? That may be the last thing you want to deal with, but LiceDoctors can help!

After a long winter you yearn for spring break, some place warm, some place tropical, some place fun. You pack up the kids and head to your dream destination.

When you finally arrive you notice little Suzy is scratching her head, a lot. While you are standing in line for your rental car you decide to take a peek in her hair. Then you discover one of  your worst nightmares. Suzy has head lice and you will be away for at least 5 days! How will you treat this? You are on vacation and as a parent, this is the last thing you want to worry about.

This problem is more common then you may think.  As a Lice Doctors technician near a vacation area I treat a lot of tourists . I am going to give you some tips on exactly what to do to eradicate the problem and still enjoy a wonderful vacation.

Tip #1 Call LiceDoctors

graphic Keep Calm and Call LiceDoctors

Book an appointment with LiceDoctors right away. If you are arriving to your room late take the earliest possible appointment. If your technician is able to treat you earlier in the day, you will have most of the day to enjoy yourself. An evening appointment is also great. You will be able to wake up in the morning and enjoy yourself after being treated. Keep in mind treatment times may vary.

Tip #2 Clean Head and Clean Bed

After your treatment call your hotel housekeeper to change your bed linens and towels. Some hotels offer a deep cleaning upon request. Although lice cannot live outside of a human head for longer than a day, it is safe to say that fresh linens will give you a peace of mind. Also, ask for additional towels to replace any that you may have used pre-treatment.

Tip #3 Follow up

You are on vacation but with head lice you must follow up to make sure that they are gone. Do a simple follow up to be sure the lice stays away. Your lice tech will go over this with you.

If you have lice on vacation it isn't the end of the world. It happens more often than you think. The goal is to take care of it and have a wonderful vacation. Booking a treatment with LiceDoctors and arranging basic clean up are the answers to your head lice problem. Afterwards you can truly enjoy yourself and relax knowing that you won't be returning home with extra "passengers".  Call LiceDoctors day or night for lice treatment in your home or hotel at 310-923-9787 . Service is fully guaranteed.

We provide a friendly in-home lice removal service
