Lice Treatment Client Testimonials
Mom Breathes Sigh of Relief that LiceDoctors Eliminates Head Lice in Son
“I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the service that LiceDoctors and Charlotte provided to us. It broke my heart to see my little boy, who is my only child, scratching his head day after day. In fact, he scratched so much that he had cuts all over his head. I work full-time and then in the evening I spent hours checking and rechecking his hair. It seems like it would be simple to get rid of the lice as his hair is short. Just as I would breathe a sigh of relief, I would notice that he was scratching again. Finally in desperation I went online and miraculously I found LiceDoctors. I did not even know that a service like this existed or I would’ve called them weeks earlier. This was money very well spent since it’s been five weeks and two days (yes I am counting the days) since I first treated him. Finally we have this lice problem beat and LiceDoctors is in my speed dial if we ever have this problem again!” – Daralynn W. in Spokane, Washington
Teacher and her Husband Picked Up Case of Head Lice
“I am an elementary school teacher, and always expected that one day I would get head lice. After all it seems to be quite common now in school-age kids. I had my husband treat me but he was unable to get rid of it, bless his heart. Lord knows he tried! The principal of our school knew about the LiceDoctors so I called them. They came, treated me, and then checked my husband. Much to both of our surprise he was infected as well. Since his hair is short I figured he would be OK. Shows you how much I know, which is why I am so relieved that we called LiceDoctors. I highly recommend this service .” – Christy J. in C’oeur d’Alene, Idaho
LiceDoctors Helps Both Kids
“We live near Spokane and I can’t believe that I learned last week that both of my kids have lice. I spoke to 3 friends who had dealt with this and they all ultimately used LiceDoctors. I decided to be smart and go directly to LiceDoctors rather than waste my time on my own. Abby from LiceDoctors came to my home the day I called and worked her magic. All bugs and nits vanished from the hair. How lucky are we that I found LiceDoctors?” – Yuko K. in Hayden, Wyoming
Prompt and Efficient Service
“I called in the afternoon and had a technician at my house by 5:00 p.m. By 7:30 p.m. we were free of lice and were armed with the treatment plan. True, you need to do some follow-up, but the plan is easy to do especially compared with the tedium and wheel spinning that we went through over the last few weeks before finding LiceDoctors. This is a great service.” – Paige P. in Cheney, Washington
Help! How Do You Het Rid of Head Lice When There is A Lot of Hair?
That is the question that came to us recently from Melody T. in Spokane, Washington. She and her children have hair…lots and lots of thick and long hair. She had tried patiently and diligently to get all of the nits (lice eggs) out of their hair, but it was in her words “a bottomless pit”. Every time that she was confident that she had finally won the battle, more nits appeared in the hair. She reported having “a number of melt-downs” and ultimately concluded that she needed professional help.
Charlotte arrived at Melody’s home at 3:30 pm, right when the girls returned home from school. Indeed all 3 females had a lot of hair and Charlotte went to work right away. She explained to Melody that the process she uses is the same, whether there is a lot or a little hair. There are two integral steps to the successful protocol: suffocate the live lice and physically extract the nits. Obviously, it is essential to kill the live lice. Less obvious is the necessity of removing all nits. Nit removal is as important as killing the lice but is more difficult to accomplish and when there is a lot of hair, it becomes an even more elusive goal..unless you are trained and experienced.
Why is it so difficult for an untrained person to find and eradicate nits? The challenges lie in being able to see the nits which are tiny and camouflage in the hair, being able to distinguish nits from dandruff, debris, and sebaceous oil secretions, and being able to grab them and pull them off the hair. The last step can be difficult as the nits are glued to hair.
Why is this step so important? The reason is that if nits are left untreated in the hair, about a week or so later they will hatch. Once they hatch the baby bugs that emerge will take another week or so to mature and then they will mate and lay up to 10 eggs a day. In short order, the hair is filled with nits.
Lice especially like heads that have a lot of hair because it is easier to latch onto long and thick hair and climb up to the scalp to feed which is their end goal. Because there are plenty of places to hide when there is a lot of hair, it becomes that much more valuable to have an expert at the home to do the work. Whether you have a lot of hair or not, LiceDoctors has the expertise and tools to find and eliminate lice and nits. Just as Charlotte eradicated lice in Melody’s family so can we in all families in the Spokane metro area. Give us a call today at 509-570-1433. We will take the burden off of you and we are available day or night, 365 days a year.
