Lice Treatment Client Testimonials
“My son’s baseball team had a rash of head lice this year. Maybe it was the helmets or maybe just because they hang out together day and night. The lice actually threatened to stop our winning season in its tracks as the kids with lice were not permitted into school so couldn’t play in the big game. The local doctor knew all about LiceDoctors so we called you and you guys saved the day for the teams. Every boy was cleared for school after being treated by your very skilled and efficient lice operator. You have a lot of fans here in Dayton.” – Rich J. in Dayton, Ohio
“When my mom got head lice after looking after my kids, I finally got the message that I was failing in my attempts to get the lice out of my kids’ hair. I called the pediatrician’s office and the nurse advised us to call you. LiceDoctors did a fantastic job of finally getting the heads to be lice free. Four weeks later and still no more bugs or those sticky, hard-to-see eggs. This is after 5 months of dealing with this. I wish I had called you a lot earlier, but better late than never!” – Ashley S. in Troy, OH
“We found lice in my daughter’s head literally when we were on the plane to Dayton going to visit my mother-in-law who makes Felix Unger from the Odd Couple look messy. I had to act quickly or my mother-in-law would have a heart attack. As soon as we landed I called my friend who also lives in Dayton and had dealt with lice with her own kids, and loves LiceDoctors. She told me to come straight to her house, then she called you, and you sent wonderful Chrissy to her house. Chrissy met us there and went to work immediately on de-licing my daughter and checking my husband and me. Luckily we had no lice or nits. She did a fantastic job on my daughter and my mother-in-law was clueless as to what we almost brought into her home! Thank you.” – Liz M. from Fort Worth, Texas
“I was a school nurse and I know what works and doesn’t work to end a head lice infestation. Twenty five years of dealing with head lice cases has taught me that much! When my daughter-in-law called me in tears to ask for my help with head lice in my grand kids, I advised her to call LiceDoctors immediately. Tasha answered the phone and was knowledgeable and efficient. She sent Brittany out immediately, who worked diligently and 3 hours later the whole family was in good shape. My daughter-in-law has told all of her fri ends about you. Thank you.” – Catherine J. in Beavercreek, Ohio
“We went through lice hell 2 years ago and I vowed that if we got it again I was going to call the doctor and get a prescription. Well I called her and her “prescription” was to call LiceDoctors. Apparently she has had much more success for her patients with you than with prescription remedies because those remedies still leave the eggs in the hair which then hatch and clients call her back. To be honest, I had never heard of a professional lice removal service, so I was a bit wary. Turns out, your superb tech, Jody, knew exactly how to eliminate both the lice and lice eggs. Best investment I have ever made!” – Kate S. in Carlisle, Ohio
“LiceDoctors did an awesome job. They came the day after I called even on the weekend. It was definitely a load off my shoulders having someone to help since it is difficult to do a thorough job on yourself. Thank you so much for the awesome job done.” – Melissa P. in New Carlisle, Ohio, Yelp
The LiceDoctor is In: Don’t Rely on the Internet
for Information About How To Treat Head Lice
How many times have you been told not to rely on the Internet when looking for diagnoses or solutions to medical issues. You probably have disregarded that advice (haven’t we all?) and may have even scoured the Internet looking for advice on how to treat head lice; if you have done so then you know there is plenty of conflicting advice about lice.
For example, you may have read that you should buy over-the-counter head lice shampoos filled with the chemical permethrin. What you may not know is that those products do not always don’t kill the lice (bugs) which have mutated and often are resistant to those products. Furthermore, the web sites don’t always tell you that the chemicals do nothing to kill the lice eggs (nits). Nits have a hard shell that prevents the chemicals from seeping through to kill the baby bug (nymph) that is inside the nit.
You also may read that it is necessary to put toys and clothes in bags for 2 or more weeks and/or wash all the laundry and scrub down the house in order to kill lice and nits that are in the house. That is also false information. Lice can only survive off of a host for 24-36 hours, so depriving your child of her favorite doll or your doing backbreaking house work is totally unnecessary. Not only is it unnecessary, it is counter-productive, as it distracts your attention away from the infested head where it should be focused.
We at LiceDoctors have been out in the field and have treated over 250,000 cases of lice and we know from first-hand experience what works and what does not work to get rid of lice. Frankly, it makes our skin crawl to read the false information and just plain bad advice that is on the Internet about head lice. Thousands of people a day are wasting time, energy, and money and may be inadvertently harming their families following advice that they get online.
