Lice Treatment Client Testimonials
“My daughter had the lead role in the school play and two days before opening night the nurse discovered lice in her hair. I knew I couldn’t fool around with trying to treat this problem on my own because we couldn’t risk her missing the show. My friend had successfully used LiceDoctors and told me to call you. Thank heavens for that. Your knowledgeable phone operator set up an appointment and had your knowledgeable technician at my house in the afternoon of the day that I called. My daughter went from hysterical to thrilled within a short time after your arrival. She was cleared for school the next day and did a terrific job in the play. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without you! It takes a village.”

“I brought my daughter to the pediatrician and then to the dermatologist and neither could help her get rid of the head lice. I tried medications that they gave us and nothing worked. I was becoming frantic. Thankfully, our friend knew about LiceDoctors and you swept in with all the tools and know-how to get rid of the lice. Thank you!”

“Head lice almost drove our family insane. My kids are in high school with very busy schedules. My wife and I both work full-time and the situation with the lice just pushed us to the edge. After giving it a try on our own, we wised up and went online and found LiceDoctors. You gave us back our sanity and got rid of the lice. It was worth every penny and more. Thanks a million.”
Jim C. In Passaic, New Jersey
“I live by myself and knew I couldn’t treat myself for lice and check to see if I still had it. I called LiceDoctors who came that night when I got home from work. I knew I was in good hands the minute I met Carol. She knew so much about lice and educated me, as well. She was meticulous with the combing and nitpicking…very impressive. I am free of lice and am sleeping well, thanks to LiceDoctors.”

Who Is At Risk For Getting Head Lice?
The answer is ANYONE can get head lice. Head lice has become an epidemic across our nation. It is one of the
major causes of absenteeism among school children. In fact, due to excessive absenteeism and the fact that by the time a child has been diagnosed with lice she/he has been in the class for weeks, the American Pediatric Association and the National Association of School Nurses now urge schools to drop their no nit policies.
Head lice don’t discriminate. All people can get lice, and that is why there are so many cases of head lice found each year. If a louse finds a human head, it will latch onto the hair and feed off the blood in the scalp three times a day. Once in the hair, the louse lays up to 10 eggs (nits) daily. Within two weeks those nits hatch and soon after start to lay their own eggs. At this point a case of head lice will increase rapidly on the head.
In the U.S., head lice are most commonly found on the heads of young school-age children and their immediate families. Anywhere from an estimated 6 million to 25 million children between the ages of 3 to 11 years old will get lice this year.
Head lice are transmitted through head-to-head contact. The bugs crawl from head to head. Occasionally lice will spread through a vector like clothing, a brush or a seat, but that is less common. Lice only survive off the head for a day. They prefer clean hair as it is easier for them to adhere to the hair if it is free of oils.
To summarize, we are all at risk of getting lice. If you are in close contact with someone who has lice, you may very well pick up a case. All a louse wants is access to a warm head that contains its food source: blood. The longer and more accessible hair is, the easier it is for lice to find the hair and use it as a ladder to climb up to the scalp.
