Sheila Jeeven’s son goes to Farmington Elementary. She’s battled lice before and said it`s not pretty at all. “It’s awful. You have to put medicine in their hair and comb it out. It’s just a pain,” she said. No, she literally is.
Kova, of Land O’ Lakes, is a professional lice head technician who serves Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas and other counties for the LiceDoctors Head Lice Removal Service, a national in-home removal service.
“I stumbled upon it,” she said of the job she has held for two years.
Kova, who has experience digging through scalps as a hairdresser, said while some consider her job a dirty one, she enjoys being there to help people. Her clients are primarily “active children with a happy social life.”
