Lice Treatment Client Testimonials
“I found out that my kids had lice at bedtime, called LiceDoctors and by the next afternoon we were lice free. The experience was successful and painless and we are relieved. We have referred others from school and they have reported that they are happy with the results as well. We send you our sincere thanks.” Amy, Justin, Callie, and Brett in Vero Beach, Florida
“Hi there. I’m not sure how to contact you but I want to let you know at LiceDoctors how pleased we are with your service. The other day I saw a bug in my 8 year old son’s hair and I was beyond upset! I was familiar with the LiceDoctors because my friends have all used you. I called and the Natasha helped to calm me down even though I was hysterical! She sounded so confident that a technician could help us that I realized there might actually be a solution to what I had thought was a disaster. She dispatched Susan to my house that afternoon and Susan was as confident and competent as Natasha had promised. She did an excellent job and cleared the life out of my son and my own head. Honestly, when I think back on this experience I cannot remember why I was so upset to find the lice!” Mallory M. in Melbourne, FL.
“I thought you would like to know about the exemplary care my daughters and I received from your technician Debbie. Her level of professionalism and her kindness were so reassuring that we felt the burden ease the minute she walked through the door. It was well worth every penny and I want you to know how lucky you are to have a representative of the caliber of Debbie. LiceDoctors performs a much-needed service for the community.” Paula K. from Port St.Lucie, Florida
“I had just given birth to my third child when I noticed my oldest scratching her head. I was so exhausted that I could barely drag myself over to look at her. I took a close look and saw some white things in her hair but I could not determine if they were lice eggs. I immediately called LiceDoctors and your lice expert came over and checked thoroughly and told me that what I was looking at were not nits. She could have taken advantage of an exhausted mother but she was honest and honorable. I am very grateful and have referred you to several of my friends.” Tessa G. in Fort Pierce, Florida
“My kids seem to be lice magnets. This was our second time dealing with nits in 3 years and my kids absolutely refused to go and sit in a salon again for the afternoon. I went on the Internet to see if there was a service that comes directly to the home; sure enough I found LiceDoctors. What a great service you provide and this case is gone, finally! I hope we are done with the lice forever, but not so sure about that. I was also surprised and happy that the cost of the treatment was less than that of the salon in spite of the additional convenience. I know I will call you again if the occasion arises. Great job!” Shauna M. in Jupiter, Florida
Tea Tree Oil and Other Natural Treatments To Get Rid Of Head Lice
We had just completed treating a family in Port St. Lucie County when the mom asked our technician a question that we hear quite often, “How about tea tree oil? Will that help to get rid of bugs if we get lice any time in the future? I also hear that it is a good lice repellent. Is that true?”
The answer to those questions is a bit mixed. Tea tree oil does act as a suffocant much as other viscous products do like mayonnaise or other oils. In that regard, tea tree oil is helpful in killing bugs. Tea tree oil and other occlusive products work their way into the breathing apparatus of lice and help to suffocate them. Another way to suffocate the bugs is using olive oil, which is thicker. Mayonnaise works to suffocate the bugs but it is opaque so it makes the bugs hard to see and when it dries it becomes very difficult to work with.
With respect to the scent of tea tree oil acting as a repellent, there is no scientific evidence to support that claim. LiceDoctors has treated plenty of clients who had been using tea tree oil as a repellent but still became infested with lice. Coating the hair with any styling products such as gel, mousse, or hairspray will make it harder for the lice to adhere to the hair. There’s also evidence that lice are repelled by the scent of peppermint.
Tea tree oil will definitely NOT kill nits. Nits have a very hard shell and the tea tree oil can not penetrate that shell. To get rid of a case of lice, you have to physically extract all of the nits; leaving nits in the hair is a recipe for the lice hatching from these nits and the case continuing. Therefore, tea tree oil is not an answer to ending a lice problem. It may help, but to eradicate a case of lice requires eliminating all of the nits from the hair.
LiceDoctors has been out in the field eliminating lice and nits from over 250,000 heads. We guarantee that your technician will get rid of your lice problem today safely and naturally.
