Lice Treatment Client Testimonials
LiceDoctors Gets Rid of Chaos Caused by Head Lice
“I must say that the last thing we needed with 3 kids including an infant was a case of head lice. Apparently the head lice gods didn’t agree and we were given the chance to test the limits of our patience with a bad case that we all managed to get. It was chaos in our home, and while not life-threatening, it was really annoying and stressful. When my friend recommended LiceDoctors, I figured I would give them a chance as frankly I needed help. It was a smart move because LiceDoctors knows their stuff. I liked that they have a doctor on-staff. Our lice tech was super and I can say that she took us from lice hell back to our everyday life. I highly advocate that everyone call LiceDoctors the minute you suspect head lice.” – Celine G. in Delano, California
LiceDoctors Helps the Families of Two Sisters
“I found LiceDoctors online and your tech did such a professional job that I just wanted to let you know. You are fortunate to have someone like Joan on your staff. She worked hard and enthusiastically to remove the eggs and lice from our heads. Now it’s been a few days and the itchiness is gone as are the lice and nits. I mentioned LiceDoctors to my sister who then hired you in Boston (our kids had been together) and she also received excellent lice treatment service. We are very appreciative for your prompt professional, and convenient service. I love that the tech came right to our house. Two thumbs up and five stars for LiceDoctors!” – Serena P. in Bakersfield, California
End of Four Month Battle with Head Lice
“I really wasn’t sure what to expect when my mom told me someone would be coming to our house to help us finally end my four month battle with head lice. After all, we had tried all kinds of products from the drug store and other home remedies. But, as soon as Kim showed up, she put us all at ease and showed us that this was the solution we had needed the whole time. As you can see in the picture, my daughter was relaxed and comfortable. The treatment was a breeze and, sure enough, the lice are gone for good. I totally recommend LiceDoctors to everyone.” – Sylvia J. in Oildale, CA.
Dad Appreciates LiceDoctors’ Sunday Service
“We had a wonderful experience with Adriana from LiceDoctors. You are lucky to have her on your staff. She knows her stuff and made sure that she educated us as well. She was very focused on her work and wasted no time. We were grateful for the quick turnaround from our initial call and that you make house calls on Sundays, as we wanted our kids back in school on Monday. My wife and I are resting easy now and we will definitely call you again if this problem arises in the future.” – Carlos L. in McFarland, California
Having Head Lice Means You Have Friends (and we are not talking about the lice!)
You see your child scratching his or her head furiously. Your first thought is “Oh my god. What If she has head lice?” You check the head and “Oh no! What are those little things stuck to the hair?” You check on line and sure enough those things in her hair match up with the picture of nits (lice eggs). Now what?
Many parents feel guilty when they realize that their child has head lice, as if they might have been able to prevent this from happening. Of course, this is not the case. Getting head lice is a very commonplace occurrence and many school age kids get it. In fact, 6-12 million school age children report lice each year and there are likely thousands of cases that go unreported. Does this mean that somehow the child’s hygiene was poor or is there another reason behind a child contracting a case of lice?
The reason behind 95% of cases of head lice is being in close enough contact with another person that the bugs can crawl from one head to another; the other 5% comes from a hat, hair accessories, helmets, etc. Head-to-head contact usually occurs with younger children who play together. Basically, if your child is at all social, she or he is at risk for getting head lice. End of story. Poor hygiene is NEVER the cause of head lice; in fact, clean hair is easier for the lice to attach to than oily or dirty hair. If your child comes home with a case of head lice, all that means is that he or she was in the company of a friend or school mate who shared his or her case with your child via head-to-head contact.
There should be no stigma associated with getting head lice. Any negative associations are myths. When we understand that we are all susceptible, and those children who are most social are especially susceptible, only then can we leave behind the stigma that is fading, but that still exists with respect to head lice infestations. When there is no more stigma, then parents will be more likely to alert other parents and the school that their child has lice. The parents of your child’s friends will have an earlier wake up call to check their own kids, hopefully, reducing the chances that those kids will pass along the bugs to other friends. Schools can check friends and class mates of infected kids and and send information home to parents. When this occurs, we will be finally on our way to decreasing the rising incidence of lice.
If you discover that your child has a case of head lice, don’t spin your wheels trying to defeat these parasites on your own. The bugs have developed a genetic immunity to lice chemicals. Why expose your child to something that often does not work (we have seen live bugs on heads soon after treatment with chemicals) and that may have side effects? Call LiceDoctors in Bakersfield and surrounding areas at 661-371-4633xx. We will come to you today and will tackle the lice cases with expertise and determination. We have treated hundreds of thousands of children and adults and we will eradicate the lice in your family. That’s a guarantee!
